A NOTE FOR NEW FAMILIES:
Cross Country practices include two weeks of off campus running. Heidi Macdonald and her assistants run with the students. They leave campus through the Grange parking lot and turn south on Grange Road. They run down Grange Road to Windmill Lane then turn east along Windmill and Apple Valley Lanes toward Kathy’s House. Runners return along the same route. Runners never run on Freshwater Road.
Track meets are for Students in Kindergarten through 8th grades. Garfield does not transport any students to track meets. Students must come to the meets with their parents. Heidi will be at the meets to help organize participants. Students do not have to attend the meets to participate in our Cross Country practices. It can just be for fun.
IMPORTANT:
TK students are welcome to join Garfield running practices but must be accompanied by at least one parent or parent substitute who is there to keep pace with them individually and return with them to campus as need be.
